I should have added that if the load is questionable,.. always check the weather report for your route and use your best judgement. Never put your job at risk when you have family depending on you.

Bid your time,.. you'll have your good days and you'll have your bad days. Its all part of the package. I have days where I want to throw in the towel and head home. Then I sleep on it and realize I was just having a bad day.

Nothing comes easy brother. But know this,.. if you want something bad enough and you are willing to put forth the effort and fortitude to see it through to the end,.. you will get what you want and be where you want to be.

Yep I'm paying for my accident. I hate being otr with little kids at home but it truly was the best option. The goal is to get local asap but it's gotta be the right job as I really need to stay somewhere for a while.

As for today it wasn't really a bad day. I've had a lot worse. It's just the lack of common sense is astounding. When the shipper and consignee who both know the product says no tarp and then some desk jockey says to tarp. It just amazes me.

Will do. 99% sure we're Gunna do it. Just gotta do it smart. We figure we need to save 3 to 4 grand to make the move. I'm pretty sure my company would be fine with it so I'll stay with them through the move and start looking after we're settled.

No it is not a pintle hitch. A pintle hitch would snap off before you ever got a heavy platform moving.
They're a heavy duty drawbar hitch called a Rockinger.

Thanks for the clarification. I've seen them around, but never got a good, close look.
