I've been looking into trucks and know about the bad reviews for the maxxforce engines. I've seen the diamond renewed internationals. Does this fix the issue with them? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here's the most effective fix:
LumbraX Thanks this. -
Need C4 instead, about 5 lb!

They change the cooler cores, EGR valve, and a few other things. Otherwise the engines are pretty much the same. The engine warranty is limited, and the aftertreatment filters are not covered. They do come with connection and repair advocate if you break down.

Even the new ones are crap, We have a 2015 here in the yard that is getting a new engine dude to tossing a rod out the side @ 114k. SCR did not help much either, the other ones are also still in the shop. Luckily we only have 4 of them in the fleet of the new ones and they are GONE asap the Terminal manage says.

There is a reason that we have nicknamed the intertrashional. Sad case of events there the old corn binders used to be a good cheap work truck that really lasted. NuttyStar really screwed the pooch if it has a SuxForce engine then stay away.

They were always junk as far as I'm concerned. Haven't seen one yet that's outlasted a pre-Daimler Western Star.

I'm sorry but I couldn't hear you over the sound of my engine exploding.......
Here is a good way to look at this big picture. These engines were so bad that diamler couldn't sell them and had to do a massive marketing and mechanical overhaul to try and make them sellable.
spray purfume on a peice of #### and all it is is a nice smelling peice of ####.
pretty bad when guys would rather buy a mbe4000 that a Maxx force.
That being said, As with many others....... the emissions have always been the weak point of this motor and if somehow you were able to get the emissions cleaned up so good that it was almost like they weren't even there, maybe there would be a good motor under all that purfume covered ####!
Ask for the warranty history of the truck and ask yourself if you could afford the downtime that truck shows in its history?csmith1281 Thanks this.
