I for sure am not expecting to get more % than a driver would "normally" make on a load.. but if some of the paper work matches, you would think ALL of it would be consistent across the board. Why change it up in the middle of the game. I use "game " because I honestly believe this "company" is playing games with the rules. Classification rules, Rate Confirmation, Pay Stubs etc. Shoot I don't believe, I KNOW they are. They have a lot of explaining to do.

that sounds like an o/o company. to which i said MINUS the o/o companies.
i get paid a percentage. i have no idea what my percentage is. and i never see the rate con. but it's after 20% is taken out of the load rate.
and as for not know what my percentage is. my paychecks are better then what i was making before the economy collapsed. so i don't worry about it. it's taken me 7 years to get back to what i was making before the economy sank. i'm now making more. -
Just leave bud, we have been telling you that for quite a while. If you are indeed as good as you say your are why have you not just left. I have walked off of jobs in construction when the boss came up at noon and told me that he had misspoke and that he really meant to tell me he paid $15 per hr vs $20 per hr. I felt it was better to take my losses right there and then vs sticking around and becoming a whiner about it. If you allow yourself to be taken advantage of then who's fault is that. Like independents blaming brokers and shippers for the cheap rates all the time, they are the ones that allow it. I being an independent understand when the market has been totally eroded, you as a company driver should know when you are getting screwed. This is not the 1800's nobody is holding a gun to your head to make you show up and drive their truck every day. Next time you get home clean your gear out and go to another job, unless you can't because you are not letting all of us know there is something else wrong with you. Honorable companies attract honorable operators, I am just saying.

No longer employee. Did exactly what you just said I should do. My wife already contacted an attorney. Will update soon.
thejackal Thanks this. -
Interested to see how this turns out. I predict the employer will pay you off. I'm sure the amount of money you are owed is a pittance compared to getting the IRS involved.
-
i don't see anything coming out of.
i don't think he had a contract that stated exactly how his percentage would be paid. -
If you were an employer that agreed to pay a % of gross to a "contractor" driving your truck, would you settle with the minor disagreement with the employee or let him call the IRS?
outonalimb Thanks this. -
it comes down to your word agains't his.
without a contract and documentation. there's nothing to fight. the irs will brush it off as a disgruntled employee. like that never happens with over 300 million people in this country. -
Oh my.. sounds like a touchy subject for ya there snowwy.. Wow..
No it does not come down to his "word" against mine... it comes down to facts and black and white proof.
Its all good dude.. everyone has an opinion. haha -
It's not touchy for me. Sorry
