We carry those chains on the side of cat-walk... Company told us if we REALLY need to chain to get out of a place, call them and they will send some roadside assistance to put them on for you...
I have driven on icy roads to get to a better place... and when I encountered mandatory chain use, I shut down at nearest parking location and waited... So far, so good...

I carry a couple of pairs of these. Should work to get me out of an iced over rest area or truck stop.
