I'm not going to waste too much time advising OP because IMO his heart is in the wrong place. you do what you love and therefore you do it well and then money comes. If all you have on your mind is the money you will never be good enough at anything to make it.

My 100k net is after all expense but before taxes. When tank companies advertise that their O/O average 180k to 220k, that is the operators cut, or in my case 63% plus fsc of what the loads really paid.
Chemical tanks run less miles for their money, 80k to Maybe 100k on a big year.

I wasn't saying it was easy. If it was everyone would be doing it. I was just stating it is very hard to make a lot of money off of your time alone as you have a limited amount of it. Getting employees isn't without its own hassles and pitfalls but it is the only path for most people to sizeable wealth.

I don't consider my self rich by any means but I have been running a business since 2001 and I have had as many as ten employees and now I have four. I make way more with their help than I ever could on my own. It is very rewarding also providing people with jobs and being able to share the success with them.

Ok so whould you all safe it is better to stay company driver and make max $1400 but average $1100 as a refrigerated driver or atleast give buying a truck a shot while I have no expenses? Most o/p i see that fail, fail due to other debts/loans that they have to pay outside of trucking with what the truck makes. I don't have that problem. I even considered going to arrow truck sales since I have 680 credit score and they will give me a shot with a big download payment of 15% thats about $10,000 max. Problem is progressive insurance will only cover me if I work within 500 miles for a silly insurance price $$^^

If you keep a squeaky clean MVR and safety record for 2-3 years, you should be able to get very close to grossing 6 figures as a company driver. On the plus side, those jobs tend to be local, home daily jobs. Some things that drivers may consider to be negatives about those jobs are that they might be required to work 6 days, maybe weekends and / or nights, and also may be required to touch the freight and / or work on the loading dock at the terminal from time to time. You can also expect to have to live and work in an area that may not be ideal for you. Think Northeast US.

Lots of people run with debt but as you know from where you are now that having no debt is an awesome place to be. I run my business debt free and am debt free personally as well. It takes me longer to do things at times but I love the lack of stress it gives me.

If you get a truck with a payment you are always going to have to be running to make that payment. You may even take loads that aren't that great because you have to in order to keep the banker happy. If you are debt free you don't have near the pressure to go go go.

If I was in your shoes I would keep doing what you are doing until you have the funds saved up to pay for a truck with cash. Sure it will take you longer but it will greatly increase your chances of success.

Don't get discouraged and think it isn't possible because it is if you have patience and discipline.
