I have arthritis in my thumbs, left hip, left knee, and left shoulder. When tylenol and aleve stop working I give myself a quick shot of WD-40 and rub it in.

Sure, sure. I know. It's bad for me.

    And it works.

    : shrug :

First shakedown trip just went ok. Decided to do physio stretches only not the excersizes, I'll do those when I'm home and have more time for the excersizes and recovery. I bought a heated blanket that I fold up and lie on before going to bed. That helped a lot. It was the last day of the trip that didn't go so good.

I think a new mattress and seat will help as well.

You've got to find out what works the best for you. I've got so many problems with my joints I couldn't drive now if I wanted to. But I have found that getting fast pain relief for me is using ice packs then heat. You can try to go 20 minutes each time but It's to cold for me. I go about 10 minutes and then switch. With your hips it's going to be tough getting relief compared to knees and hands. I also take Enbrel which works the best. You might want to talk with your arthritis doctor to see if Enbrel would work for you. A lot of times you can get some real good results from this drug like stopping the gradation. You have to inject this medication but it's worth asking about.
