I got a deal on some livestock equipment, it requires crossing Ga.-Fla. line and the little farm truck broke down.
Next option is a 4500, GVWR 17500. GCW 30,000. Trailer GVWR 25,000.
Actual weights are Truck aprox. 12K. trailer 6800Lbs. Load aprox. 7,000. = 25,500
With the big trucks I have to get temporary IFTA's but this has gray areas. Truck is registered as a personnel vehicle, as farm vehicles and RV's have tended to be here.
Does anyone know and or have a link to the regulations on this? CDL and health card are not an issue.
IFTA for GCW 30K farm use?

Exactly, route around.
BoxCarKidd Thanks this. -
if you are doing med card and logs, IFTA is a breeze. Don't think there's an "out" over 26,000 unless under 150 miles from the farm, in some states.

(i) has two Axles and a gross Vehicle weight or registered gross Vehicle weight in excess of 26,000 pounds, or
(ii) has three or more Axles, regardless of weight, or
(iii) is used in combination, when the gross Vehicle weight of such combination exceeds 26,000 pounds.
That is it. Pretty plain.

And some states, like AZ and Nevada, are only exempt over 10,000. PIA.
