Yeah I've seen his videos and he seemed to do alright with Landstar living in Ontario. I guess my concern is I wonder how slow they are right now...especially coming out of and into Western Canada.

It is possible to make money at Landstar, but for us the key has been finding an agent that goes out and finds loads for his drivers, rather than finding drivers for his loads. Total loads available are down almost 10,000 per day than they were in the Spring. Earlier this year during the week you would see 24000 loads a day, now you are lucky to see 17000 on a good day and most of the time it hovers around 15000. Part of the problem is that many shippers won't work with Landstar. There has been a big problem with double brokering and Landstar won't do anything about it. The reason this is a problem for shippers is that they don't know who has their load, or who to deal with if there is a problem.

Still on that deal with your new wagon? Doing one per week? I've been trying to stay out and do some OTR, but I just keep finding a load home after I leave the house. Bouncing 800 miles this weekend for a 600 mile load to the house on Monday. ;)

Yeah they are gonna have them for the next few months. Due to the fact they are in Houston Ive been staying out(not going home every weekend) Ive been doing 1 a week. I delivered one yesterday. Bounced 300 miles over to Ohio for tomorrow(doing a 34 now) with a load going to des moines and then to TX. And ill pick up another pipe load Friday or Sat. I like it but, I don't like driving all these miles. This is the 1st week that I really had to watch my hours as I went from Charlotte-Charleston SC-Chicago-Milwaukee-Houston-Chambersburg PA-Columbus OH .......
