here is the link to the engines i have found

there will still be the issue of finding someone to do the work for you. i have looked at many trucks for sale in the 1998-2005 range that have the engine and transmission i want. the key seems to be finding a custom shop that is capable of doing the work some where near your home. the best looking shop i have found is in Oregon. for this type of build i wouldnt trust just anyone.

Take a look at the used truck market. Million mile Pete's and KW's that are pre-dpf bring that money every day.

Do a search on Truckpaper for Pete 379exhd's, set the minimum price at $60k and see what's out there.

They would have a market if they took the time to ADVERTISE THEIR PRODUCT if they weren't so busy shoving Cascadia and Coronado models down everyone's throats.

Shows many Petes in that year between 35,000-40,000
There are some in the much higher range, just not needed to pay that, if you shop around

You can find these all day long. Would I spend that kind of money for an older truck, probably not.

If the Detroit is so expensive why don't people do C12's? There a lot cheaper than 30k
