Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Hey, jcroom76
Do you know any good fuel hauling companies around Ft.worth? -
The few that I can think of off the top of my head would be, Mission Petrolueum, Energy Dispatch, Douglass Distrubiting, United Petroleum Transporters, Star Transportation, and Lucky Lady Oil. I dont know a whole heck of a bunch about any of them but I believe Lv2drv drives for Energy Dispatch in Atlanta and maybe he could give you more info on them... Hopes this helps and Good Luckironarmadillo Thanks this.

PTC has a terminal in Atlanta...they are not so bad. That would be Petroleum Transport Company out of Mount Airy North Carolina

I've been hauling gas for 26 yrs its the easyiest job i have ever done.i would recommend starting out with a common carrier like groendyke, kag, coastal, pacific, williams, you can get some time under your belt with them, first .turnover is very high in this feild of driving,so you can move up pretty fast, once you get a routine down you will see how easy it can be just take notes during your training, you will need them there is alot to remember good luck
scottied67 and jvar4001 Thank this. -
Well I been carryin fuel for a few yrs now and I can tell you kagwest is not going to hire right now cox may but the test they give you for the job you may not pass you have sc fuels, superior ,mj trucking,g&g trucking and a few other who may train you. As far as now I work for your competition cemak trucking as a fuel driver I do str8 diesel I have done jet and all all I can say is this get atleast a year exp then try to go to gas, diesel, jet this part of trucking is very detail based your life depends on it. And when you done with the year and u still want to do fuel try the local and small companies to get exp then move to the major league. Trust me I can give u a list of companies to apply for when u ready

Most company shifts run on a 5 on/2 off 5 on/3 off as in cox. Or 6/2 or 6/3 depends on who you work for. And all companies run 2 shifts 12 hours each and some. Driving in l.a. Traffic every day will take its toll on you be prepared for it.
