Doesn't bad at all with the rates
Also, they don't take single truck owner operators
You have to be a corporation with multiple trucks to lease on

No you can be a single truck owner but they want you to grow your business and you have to be incorporated but that is like 20 bucks on legal zoom to file the paperwork

The recruiter told me there is not a truck limit but they encourage 3-5 trucks he sent me a fake contract so I could read it its 135 pages long and I can email it to you if you would like but it says nothing about a truck limit

My wife and I are/had seriously considered buying or leasing and going O/O out of Fort Worth, TX.
We are both numbers people and honestly, I can't seem to make the numbers make sense for doing this over company driving.
Here is what I mean:
We team at Schneider on a dedicated account.
.39 CPM x 6000mi = $2,340. That is with zero liability for payments or nothing. Of course take out taxes and insurance and what not. (Once we hit our 1 year mark it will be
42cpm)
Now when we talked to the DFW recruiter he said teams are averaging 4900mi per week.
1.31cpm +.05cpm for teaming out of DFW.
1.31cpm x 4900 = $6,419 weekly. Now take from this the costs of operation (as best as we can figure them) repairs, insurance, truck payment and from what we see we make the same if not more with Schneider. Also since we would be a new truck on with them. There is a possibility that since we don't have enough points, we may go a week without a load.
We have both learned our lesson from running face first into things without looking at all the angles. Am I wrong in what we have though? -
I don't see you adding in the surcharge for fuel in your numbers there.
-
From what I understand the FSC fluctuates daily/weekly. I have also been told it doesn't cover all fuel costs either.
Fuel
4900mi / 6mpg (estimate) = 816.67 gallons per week.
816.67gal x 2.50$/gal = $2,041.66 not counting DEF.
FSC is .33 from earlier reply.
.33FSC X 4900mi = $1,617.
