She doing better had a couple interviews for local jobs so far

 

I am starting with them after the first of the year. Can anyone tell me what I should bring with me. I'm going to the school first. Just curious as to what I need to pack other than cloths and shower stuff. Any help would be appreciated

 

original birth certificate
original social security card - not laminated
steel toed slipon style work boots
sleeping bag & pillow
cheap work gloves
flashlight

You need the sleeping bag & pillow while riding with your trainer. When you go solo you can use sheets, etc if you want. I used sleeping bag my whole career.

 

Thank you, do you know if it's required to have steal toed boots?

 

I don't think it is required, just good practice around trucks. On the prime side you won't load anywhere that requires them, on the Tennant side there are some places that you must have them.

I also suggest a cheap reflective vest, that is a must.

Spiral wound notebook
Soft pack of baby wipes because you will take a dump behind the trailer at some point, you won't always be at a truck stop.
Sunglasses
Yellow lens shooting glasses for night driving
Laundry bag or extra pillow case.
I 2nd the sleeping bag but also bring a fitted twin sheet so none of your arms or head touches the mattres.

 

Some shippers & receivers may require them even if the company doesn't. I've personally run into that several times.
Walmart has some pretty good ones that are cheap.

 

Thanks for your input. I just was not sure what I was going to need to pack for my ride with a trainer. What about the hotel, do they have laundry service?
