Dpotter, the exit is 197 off of I74. Even though I'm pretty sure you REALLY want to stay at the Hardees or that truck stop right across from Campbell's! Jaybird called and asked me about it!!!! Holler at me sometime
Yep, had a great meal last night with 2 other Magnum drivers and forum members, seemed like some #### good guys!

I got unloaded this morning and reloaded in San Antonio headed to NJ... This load has some extra time on it... I picked up a day early....But if I push hard I can get a couple nights at home... Since my route brings me within 1 mile of the house....easy decision....
Matt had given me some warning that my last drop could take awhile. I guess HEB has a bad rep for taking 5+ hours sometimes to unload.... I must have caught it on a good day cause I was in and out in 1 1/2 hrs... Super nice people there too...
Close to 80 degrees today in Texas.... Loving it! -
They took me, I went otr -
Nice. I'm sick of being away from my family, so looking for more nights at home.

Thats really weird, HEB is a really good company. My father-in-law is one of their top level IT guys, wife used to work there as well. It is probably one of the best companies that I have ever heard of to work for. The owner even gave several drivers their own trucks free and clear for hitting 1 million accident free miles. It seems strange to me that they would have a reputation like that. I'll bring it up.

Like I said, they were great today.... But Matt said it wasn't unusual to be there 5 hrs.... Look up their DC on Google Maps and read the reviews.... Terrible, fwiw.... It is a very big operation...

Glad it worked out for you. That is ####ty. Maybe my FiL can pass that info on to the right people to get things changed.

HEB is very slow at unloading, has been that way for years... Used to take general mills in, yogurt, biscuits, and be there for 12 hours to unload, and a $500 lumper fee. That applies to the warehouse on industry park road.
The warehouse on rittiman road, in and out in 2 hours to 3 hours from appointment time, but that was always with produce. -
i went to an HEB once in Houston, that was enough for me in my lifetime
