That's why we factor in deadhead into rate for all miles.
A few weeks ago over a weekend I deadheaded over 200 miles for a load, might sound bad but the load was 540 miles and paid $1544 and was light so no big deal.
There's endless cheap freight here no doubt, because nobody wants it and it sits. That's likely everywhere including Landstar, Mercer and etc though.
There's good loads here but they don't last long.

Also, I can confirm that they are not allowing new IC's. I was approved some time ago and will be going to orientation next week on the 14th.
