Truck Pix... post yours

Yea, some aren't too bad looking. The interiors are pretty rough though. Mine had 588K miles on it when I got it, so I was surprised at the low mileage. 1 Thing I do like, is that our trucks are only 6-speeds. (Some of the older ones are even 5-speeds). I've never seen anybody else have a 5 or 6 speed.
UPS must keep their trucks nice. I see a few CH's they're still using from time to time and they still look almost new.
We got a bunch of brand new Pinnacles in recently. Those things are awesome.

This past week wasn't too bad. The week before was a nightmare though. I was Waiting 5-6 hours to get assigned a door to drop my trailer when I was getting back to Indy. Drivers were just parking their trucks wherever they felt like it while waiting too. I heard this coming week is going to be real bad. I'm just glad I get paid hourly.

We do a little bit of freight. Not very much though. Then we have a group of drivers that does nothing but haul stuff for Eli Lilly. That's like the prestige account. Sodrel also has school busses and motor coaches as well.

 

I always wondered how effective that self advertising has been on our trailers.

 

What I don't get about it is you guys haul mail on a big time mail contract what do you need to advertise for? Also where is you're trucks US MAIL badge? You're trucks used to haul mail that's big serious official business .


I see Sodrel has openings for bus drivers more then for truck drivers.

Sodrel doesn't run up here in Cleveland I've never seen them. I don't think we're really in you're regular routes though or operating area.

 

No we don't do Cleveland. We do Cincinatti and Columbus though. From talking to the other drivers I guess sodrel used to do a lot more freight. So the trailers that say SOLO on them were for freight and those trailers are from the 90's as well and they're still using them. Our new trailers are just all white with a trailer number on them.

We even used to have some OTR drivers for freight. We still have 2 sleepers in the fleet but the guys that drive them are home every day. I uploaded a pic of one.

I was out running today on Christmas Day 2015 not a bad day at work.

 

Pretty dirty!!!! Montréal - Toronto back and forth. 30 cm snow storm on the way there, and freezing rain on the way back.
