Ditto: Excellent! IMO the reason we see FedEx all tangled up all the time is the difference in the interline model. Brown controls his employees through employment. They earn well and have ownership in the job, FedEx does not, they are contractors. This is the same story that vaulted Walmart to the top past Kmart and Target. Wally had control over his private fleet, the other two used common carriers.

Be interesting to see their scores...and also difficult. Both hide behind multiple DOT #'s . I hung out with a CC on the tanker side for a bit.... ( big mistake ) anyway he had 5 DOT numbers from acquisitions. He kept one clean for sales and separated the other 4 by cardinal points. ( N.S.E.W )

As crappy as many mega companies are please dont lump UPS and Walmart in the same category lol its getting closer but still nothing compares to walmart :/

Aside from that lets look at my personal encounters on an average day 7/10 UPS drivers are respectful, kind and safe drivers ( ofc that conjecture seeing as at most we run together for an hour give or take ) now fedex drivers be it company or contractor Thats a whole other ballgame! Its like the late 90's Pirates ( FedEx ) versus the 50's Yankees ( UPS )

However, I do like following FedEx thru downtown sections when there are traffic backups.
