Ok guys I have 13 Pete 388 with the isx15 has roughly 320k on overhaul and just had the overhead run. My question is how do you know if the oil pressure sensor is going bad? Once I restart the truck at a washout ( for livestock) I go down the road and my pressure will go from 35 to like 20 for a couple minutes then comes out of it

Would change oil filter and see if that helps first. About the cheapest and easiest. Also replace oil pressure sending unit just to help narrow it down.
Also recall something about an oil pressure relief valve over on the oil filter head being replaced.
Anything ever been done to high pressure fuel pump that you know of?
Could put a manual gauge to compare with what dash is showing. -
Put a good manual gauge on it. If it mimicks the dash gauge, its an engine problem. If it doesn't, its a gauge issue.
-
Not that I’m aware of. Filter was changed 4K ago. I’ll have to to check with my shop

It has both manual and electronic gauge both do the same

A 2013 with a manual oil pressure gauge? Where is the oil line plumbed in at the engine?
They mean install a mechanical test gauge on the engine and compare.AModelCat Thanks this. -
