Fedex will take you with 6 months experience as long as you went through a driving school get on Craigslist and look up a contractor in your area they all will pay way more than. 39 then you can get the feel about fedex and I'm telling ya it's so easy a monkey could do it no docks meet at truck stops and terminals

Old Dominion - give OD a call if you're living near one of its terminal, 0.60 to 0.62 cpm each; disregard the job board, do a walk-in like me and bring work history, 1.5hrs computerized app at the terminal. Their job application procedure can take 1-2mos before you'll hear from them. https://www.odfl.com/Careers/openingsDriverCo.faces
Benefits after 3mos, 401k matching ceiling at 6%

Going rate in Sacramento (no Ohio or MI weather - I lived in both) is $.55 cpm, usually with a sign on bonus, health insurance...and it's all drop & hook. No package handling. And warm weather. Check Craigslist.

Does FedEx allow fleet owners for their home and office delivery divisions also?

I really question the rate plus the fuel surcharge you indicated. Around here the rate already includes the fuel surcharge.
