Well I do know two O/O that left Dana Shuttles said they are going back. I'm just a company driver and it have been slow on us. Even the local guys just be hanging around trying to run waste water to get at least 10 hours on the clock.. I started off running some good lengthy out & back runs. Last month or so I've been picking up the pcs, bob tailing to get empty trailers from different chemical plants, dropping loaded trailers and bob tailing back to the yard, etc.. Thats if I'm not broken down!!

Their pay ain't bad, except for the empty miles. $0.16 is a alot, but it looks like some of that hourly pay makes up for it. I get the pay for experience, but what does the OTR drivers $0.50 part mean?

I don't mind getting paid less empty because it takes zero effort to drive empty in my opinion. Just set the cruise and no need to worry about hills and curves so much. Most of the time I only have to drive 100 miles or less empty to a tankwash or terminal.

The pay have changed again but I haven't gotten a chance to get a print out of it yet.. Now OTR drivers are getting paid .60 cpm loaded or MT.. OTR is exactly what it means you'll be running 48 & Canada. Less out and back runs more delivering going to tank wash reloading and delivering again before returning to a terminal. I run regional so I'm on a .55cpm loaded and .33 cpm MT now.. Out & Back runs with a night or two on the road depending the length of haul.. Sometimes I can turn around and make it home within the same day..

OK, gotcha. The experience pay is for regional. $0.60 per mile for OTR is awesome, especially if the miles are there.

In a nice winter storm it's much harder to drive empty.

They are typical in the tanker sector of the industry. Frankly, I wouldn't mind driving the entire week empty for the mileage pay they offer. Also an empty tank doesn't surge;)
