Kansasboy do your homework, every company has its good and bad I would start looking at trucking companies that will take a newbie and will train also go to you tube were drivers document there experience with there company and go to glass ceiling and Indeed inc. people are talking. Beware of the trucking companies that require you to sign a contract with them if you do this you're stuck good luck

TMC is where I started at after I got out. They are decent, but not what they used to be. I would recommend Keim Transport or Melton to start and go from there.

Look into Magnum LTD out of Fargo ND.
Its a reefer company. Peterbuilt 579 (2014 & up) & Thermo King reefer trailers (2014 & up). I got hired on out of school. Real good company. There's a Magnum thread if you're interested. Worth the read imho.

I live in Tulsa, Ok and am going with Pride for one main reason. I have an organization that will pay for my cdl schooling but requires a letter of intent to hire. Out of over 20 carriers Pride is the only one that would give out a letter of intent so i could get free schooling. Every other company just wanted me to sign on the dotted line to attend their school so I would be contracted with them from 9 months to 15 months.

Olathe would be a good spot for a Keim driver. If you want to do flatbed. I know they have a lot of loads in the KC area
