1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Ozz Express LLC., a small family owned company, has an opening for an O/O driver position. Must have 1-3 years current verifiable OTR experience.

We started in the recession (2010) and have been going strong for almost six years. We do things slightly different than most of the companies out there. What we do offer is:

*Copies of all rate confirmations (know exactly what the load pays).
*Ability to decide and pick what freight you want to haul.
*Access to freight all over 48 contiguous states.
*Leave it at the drivers discretion as to how long he wants to be out. If you want to be home every day, every other day, or home on weekends, you can be.
    *Pay weekly (direct deposit available).
    *Transparency.
*Constant good paying freight (van, refeer or flatbed) - No sitting around and waiting for freight.

I have frequently used this website to see what feedback and questions are commonly asked by someone seeking a driver position. Below are answers to some frequently asked questions.

Forced Dispatch? - No forced dispatch.
Touch or no tough freight? - Most loads are no touch freight (about 99% of the freight is no-touch to the driver).
Types of freight? - Van, Flatbed or Reefer.
Hometime? - Home everyday or only weekends. Basically, since you set your own schedule you can decide when you want to be home.
Where are you based from? - Northeast Ohio, but you don't have to be based in Northeast Ohio to work with us.
Are you only regional carrier company? - We are not only a regional carrier company You don't have to be located in Northeast Ohio to work with us.

How many miles do your drivers average? - From 2,500-3,500 weekly.
How much do your drivers average weekly? - From $4-7k gross weekly.
What is your average pay per mile including dead-head miles? Averages for all miles for a given week are about $1.75-$2.00/mile for dry-vans, $2.00-2.25 for flatbeds, and $2.20-$2.40 for reefers. This means, for example, if a driver makes 2,500 miles in a given week pulling a Van, he gross somewhere in between $4-4.5k.

An average is one number. Please show your true average.

San Antonio is a slow area for flatbed freight. We do have some, within 100 miles of San Antonio (e.g., going to CA, NM, TX, WA, CO), but not as much as in other areas of the country. What is your preferred lanes or where do you like to run to?

These are the true averages. I just took previous random sample of runs and averaged them. Obviously its gonna fluctuate here or there at certain points of the year, but overall those are the numbers.

I'd like to see the math that shows an average being more then one number. Looks like a little fishy.

We run from San Antonio area to Houston and back and to Dallas and back for the most part right now. Haul steel out and whatever we can get coming back.
