At the Henderson yard, you ask the shop what's in the yard. They'll give you trailer 2 numbers. You pick the best 1 and let the shop know which 1 you're taking. At least that's how my trainer and I did it.

Sometimes dispatch will let you know which one to take if you're in the yard. When I got my first load. My dispatcher told me what trailer to pick up and I went out to pick up my first load.

I went to the Tennant side. Looks like Henderson is pushing Tennant. 4 others that upgraded this week went to Tennant as well
-
How much experience is needed for Tennant?
-
4-6 weeks. However, that is for dry van. From what I was told Tennant wants you to have a year of dry van experience before you can apply for oversized, step deck, or flatbed. They will train on load securement but they want the year of dry van first
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Oh and I mentioned 4-6 weeks of training w/trainer. Then you get a choice, Prime or Tennant
-
What if anything is the difference between the 2
-
Henderson is still in my top three and I think I would rather dry van just starting out. One less thing to think about/be responsible for when just getting my feet wet. Also, from what I gather, the noise from reefer units can be a pain when trying to sleep.
Having said that I would gladly take reefer (or tanker) if that is what my chosen company was offering. -
I hope no Henderson (or Prime) driver chose their company based on drivers from another company liking them or not.

If I am not going to get a wave or a reply to a friendly hello in a truck stop , oh well. I think I would only start caring if things got nasty and they started pulling kingpins or otherwise sabotaging parked Henderson trucks etc. -
So, is this a valid way to get on with Prime without doing the 40K team miles? I personally want to do Walmart dedicated for Prime, but the 40K team miles is a deal breaker.
Also, what kind of runs does Tennant dry van run? Do they have any good regional or dedicated accounts with good hometime?
