    Foodliner requires 12 months.
    Ashley I think requires 12 months.

    Tell them you were running the interstates and highways hauling grain and agricultural products.

    Anyways other than telling me how I got ripped off does anyone have advice about things today I left swift in 04 or 05 and I have done no over the road since then and I got some friends and family who used to drive and all say things have changed so what's new that I need to know?

    Things have changed except the pay. Your a prime example of why. You have 10 years experience and are willing to hold a steering wheel for .38 a mile. Problem is your trying to justify it to us. Take the .38

    The only things that have changed are the cost of living on the road, amount of traffic, and extra helpings of regulation

    For starters I never claimed to have 10 years "experience" I ran for Swift for a few years over a decade ago and when I left them I was only getting 30 cents but they started at 26

    Since August 2014 Ive been doing grain haul so about 18 months "recent" experience but I'm about "fired" after getting into it with the new yard manager so I'm taking what's surefire and I start on the 4th.

    BTW 38 is the starting pay ya bump up 40 after a year and eventually 44 after 3 years at least what I was told.

    Ashley's like a "premium" job that would be like McLaine Food Service bring ya in for a 2 hour long interview waste half your afternoon and call 1 week later saying "Nah" after all that effort I don't "waste" time with places like that.

    As for Foodliner I see them guys down at ADM Milling on the North side of Chicago half the ones I spoke to were "foreigners" and just watching the lay seems like a lot of screwing around too.

    Good for you, you did yourself a huge favor. Being a mobile lumper, working nights, being worked like a dog is not a "premium" job.

    Gonna run Chicago/Detroit straight down to DFW or Laredo on turnarounds.

    Even at .38 CPM to start that's "miles" ya load and drive 2/3 days inbetween stops.

    At Swift was a lot of screwing around short 200/300 mile loads and if ya didn't at least get that Chicago 2 Kansas City or Omaha & back your take home was like 3/400 bucks on dinking around the Midwest.

    Yeah its a little "less" than others but "miles" not sitting around or dinking with Retail or Chep Pallet loads

    .38 is low. Even prime offered me .46 and I only have 3 yrs experience
