What do you think the cost would be to convert it back to a tandem axle?
-
No idea but I would imagine more than it's worth for anyone unwilling to DIY.
Cottonmouth85 Thanks this. -
I don't have any idea as well. I'm thinking the same thing,...if it's not a DIY project,...then I could see some money being spent.
-
Even if you were to DIY, I think with the cost of the truck and parts/time to convert it back would be way more than its worth.

Yeah it would have to be a $20,000 deal. With the new EOBR mandate it seems to have also lost out on a lot of potential buyers.
-
How did it get converted? Axle just removed or drill new holes? What type suspension? Frame shortened?
-
Not sure on the exact process. It appears that the frame was shortened, to get the desired wheelbase. So,...it doesn't look lie there was any extra drilling. You can see where the frame was cut, and the C channels were added. As far as the exact suspension model,...I don't know. I'd have to crawl around under there, or take pictures to figure out what it is.cbholister Thanks this.

What is a contact phone number to reach you at?
-
Easiest way is just to add a lift axle, $3500 brand new if you feel comfortable doing it yourself.
Edit: Just read the dates, I got sucked into posting in an old thread lol
