Maverick is one of the best starter cdl companies out there imo. I started there in 06. I grossed 900-1000/wk in 06, you sould be able to do at least that. The first quarter might be a little slower but other than that, they'll keep you busy.
The reason I like Maverick for new drivers? They don't try to screw you into some kind of 12 or 18 month over priced contract (most of the class at Newport were signed into those ripoff contracts with other carriers and obligated to twice the amount of money the Maverick drivers obligated for... same class, same instructors, same everything). They will put you in a nice late model well maintained truck. They will treat you with respect and give you the tools and opportunity to succeed as a driver.
What do they expect? Put you big boy pants on and show up on time, ready to work, ready to learn and be productive. They are a professional outfit and expect you to add to that, not take away.
I have no regrets of starting with Maverick. One thing to throw out at you. If you find that there is a long waiting list to get into the training program (maybe you're already in?). And, if you have some cash or if you can come up with some cash, you can probably go directly to the school and pay your own way with a prehire waiting for you the day you graduate. That's what I did. Cost me less money, got into school immediately and started orientation immediately while others were still waiting for the sponsorship. My starting was also better since they didnt have to be reimbursed for the schooling. Im a numbers guy and the numbers work out pretty close any way you look at Mavericks program for new drivers. Of course that was all 10 years ago...check for yourself. All things change over time, but I'm betting they are still as top shelf and professional as they were then. -
Maverick's trucks are governed at 64 because of all the speeding tickets its drivers received last year and their insurance company TOLD them to governed them at 64 or they will have to find someone else. Indiana for some reason loves to ticket Maverick trucks for spending. ELD are tied into Maverick's logistic/operations and a company should do what makes them profitable. BTW I love that our company is medium size and I wish it was smaller but it is trying to grow.

There you have it, straight from the mouth of Lisamomo. If a woman isn't happy with the husbands compensation, she will say it. If there isn't enough money coming in to pay the bills and have extra, then it makes for a rough existence on the road.
My wife will tell you first hand when she is not having it.
