    Volunteer yourself to be fined? Something doesn't seem right about that lol... Now if they guarantee a free get out of jail card then I would stop in....

    "Non regulatory setting" according to the article. Still...walk into a POE and ask for an inspection? That'd be a little against the grain, wouldn't it? :biggrin_25511:

    Any links to this for further info?

    If you have nothing to fear why not get it done? Years ago Shasta scales were good for inspections. If you requested the inspection it was done with no fines for defects. Got your decal which lessened the chance of inspections elsewhere.

    Don't know what the big deal is... If I am near there I will swing in to get a orange sticker. I have asked for a level 1 many times, and even at the Wheeler Ridge and Cottonwood scales. Gasp !!
