On small hills it runs about 200-210 the fan kicks on and brings it to 190F
My last trip I had a water line for the APU leak and lost about 4 gallons, Replaced the hose at the flying J and the rest of the way home the temp rises and goes down like a roller coaster depending on the grade. before the leak I could pull a 6% without having needing the fan much. Now when idling it will creep to 205 within about 30 mins and the fan will kick on. Is that Normal on these engines? My N14 and Cats will creep up but don't always need the fan. Like I said before the leak it didn't do this. The engine was sitting 2 years before I put it in this truck. Thermostats are newas well as the Radiator .
What is Normal Water Temp for EGR (non DPF) MBE 4000

Any truck runs hotter under load or if sitting at idle with no air going thru radiator. As long as it cools down when the fan comes on don't worry about it
Catliner Thanks this. -
The one I have runs very cool. 165 to 180 under full load (80k) with foot hung off in it. Great little motor, I don't care what anyone else thinks.

I love mine as well. Getting 7.8mpg loaded is a major reason I love mine

The only time I've notice mine running a little warm 195-200 Was with a strong tail wind which allowed less air through the radiator
