Ooooh, a wordpress blog. Can't wait to read more articles from there:
Dunno why the newest one is from 2013, what with all that brilliant info on there... Guess Obama and the illuminati finally got to the author.

Read very, very carefully what I type and continue to misunderstand...
The caps I speak of are for repayment of pretax credits. That is determined when you do your return. duh.
I have a ACA plan, do you? I'm not making this stuff up!
Your AGI on your return will fall into a category relating to the poverty level. If it's not in the same level as your estimate there will be a reckoning.
It seems you are not understanding the relationship between your initial income estimate to qualify and your end of year actual income levels and the resulting consequences. Homework time for you. If you don't use the marketplace then misunderstanding is really of no consequence to you anyway.Last edited: Dec 28, 2015

Your reading comprehension is severely lacking, yes, I have a plan thru. Healthcare.gov. for 2 years now. I have also done the tax returns ,as a self employed sole proprietor, being double checked by my mother in law a tax professional, so I very well know the in and outs of the. Aca. If you underestimate you simply screw yourself, but you don't have to take the entire tax credit at the time, you can take none or any portion in between, if you then overpay, you get it back in your return, it isn't the major crisis you make it out to be. But yeah I know what I am speaking, I actually help others get straight on it. I wouldn't have commented unless I actually had experience with the ACA, which I stated, several timesLast edited: Dec 29, 2015

Why doesn't your employer offer you health insurance ?
-
As an Owner Operator he is his own employer so he needs to get his own health insurance.
-
Yea, l know that !!! but he does not say in his post he's a O/O otherwise I wouldn't of asked the question...Oh by the way,Ubu,is it daytime when its daylight out ??
-
Ether you knew it or you didn’t, sounds like you want it both ways.
This is the O/O section of the forums so it would stand to reason and most people would assume he is an O/O but it was easy enough to verify.
jaguar011 only has a few posts on here and reviewing them shows he has threads asking questions that only a new O/O would ask. He also says ...
in his Payroll and taxes thread at http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/payroll-and-taxes.286623/ so it seems clear he is an O/O.
Please don't hurt yourself attempting to be clever.ttyson Thanks this. -
ok you got me,l didnt completely read the top part of thread..

until they get bit." -
That's not per diem you're referring to, per diem is non-taxable. Two different things. You are referring to the DOT standard deduction that you would need to itemize on your tax return. Couldn't you just use the amounts on your W-2?
