I am in MI, been home since last Thursday, and now looking for a load to OH.. Might as well make some $$ going to see my new grand daughter but, even though I am still going, I am not hauling anything for crap! 400 miles for $700 is crap!

Ls van drivers get %65 with a LS trailer and an extra 7% with their own van
Ls flat/step get %65 with a LS trailer and an extra 8% with their own flat/step

whether its a % of 100 or 98% depends on the contract

LOL. It is sad because someone will take that. Someone will always run for free and then wonder why they are broke.

All this complaining makes me laugh. For me it is simple. Don't like the rate? Don't haul the freight! I won't sit around and complain about sub $2 freight. I just grab the good stuff.

I share your sentiment. I wouldn't bother either except there isn't any good freight of late.
If they could fill the driver shortage with a few more cheap haulers the load boards would be empty

I'm guessing you would demand $5000 plus permits or some other asinine amount??

You really think that was a fair rate? Me personally, between $2000-$2500, that's about right.

    lol@ Bobbty

Realistically and ideally...........I think $1400.00 to the truck on a Southern Lane like that(no tolls) 448 miles OD How wide was that? 11foot? Whatever it was....... is a Fair rate to the carrier , Not a $1,000 That's a Legal rate and thats a a tad low.

$2,500 is a tad high unless you need escorts .448 miles in hillbilly country for $1400 (a days work) is fine.and profitable
