There's a lot of posts about great companies here, anyone have one for a local run in Tampa bay area? I have about 2 years OTR w/ TWIC, all endorsements and exp in reefer, dry box and some tanker hauling liquid CO2.

I worked at the CTL on 40th & Columbus from 1999-2000. I was paid about $100 a day back then, home daily with 2 days off a week. Hauling molten sulfur from the port of Tampa to Mulberry as well as ammonia sulfide.

Depends on exactly what you are looking for, and your actual location (unless you want to commute).
If any driving will do, and you are in Tampa, you may want to check Waste Management. They do not hire allot, but when they have roll off or bagster stuff available they start at over 19 bucks an hour. Monday-Friday. 50-60 hours per week.
I worked at Badcock furniture in Mulberry for a year. They are good people to work for, but it is hard work. With a restart you end up working 70+ hours per week and only make around 1200 per week. 6 day work schedule. You unload all trailers you haul by hand.

Currently I am working at Saddle Creek in Lakeland. Schedule on grocery fleet is 5 days per week. Pay on paper looks like garbage, but so does badcock. But average is between 800-1000 per week. More if you really push for extra runs, and even more if you want to work 6 days. Basically if you want to work an extra day just let the planners know when you want it, and they will find you work. Starting out drivers work every weekend. They pick 2 days in a row they want off during the week. After 4-6 months can change to 1 weekend day off. I have been on Sunday-Monday off for a while and it is a good mix, since nobody is open on the weekends around here to get anything done.

Those are all totally local, at least in state. Badcock they stay out 1 night a week typically. And it is in a hotel. Saddle creek is home every night.

They also have a bread fleet. (Saddle Creek) They have to unload, but not hard to do, and they tend to make round 1200 per week. But not as good of a work schedule.
