I was looking on my phone for apps and came across the "BorderPro" app. Have any of you used it? Is it any good? Also, any other phone apps any of you guys recommend? I see a few log book and truck GPS apps Does any of you use any of these?
Thanks

Truck Path pro is pretty nifty to use. Gives you a heads up as to where rest areas are, truck stops and scales. If someone goes by a scale, you can note if its open or closed and at what time. Works pretty good!

I've used big road before. Worked awesome for a log book app.

Trucker Path: became my number-one favourite go-to app.
RoadBreakers: find those out-of-the-way parking places--especially helpful when running OS in an unfamiliar area.
Recap+: easy to see what my available hours for the next week are. Bigroad is likely better, but I was still filling out my own paper.
TruckDown: find (local) repair info.
GasBuddy: my preferred fuel-finding app, but also use Fuelbook (good for seeing what's available on specific routes) and the apps from the major fuel chains.
Blue Beacon, Speedco and Cat Scales.
Google Maps: obvious. Also, most states and provinces have apps now for road conditions; some of them are excellent and most are an overlay of Google Maps, but highlighting state-specific information like road cams, route restrictions, etc.
qWhereAmI: just press the button and displays your current location in lat. & long., road and municipality and will show on a map. Helpful for filling out log pages (especially in WY, NV, etc., and out in the bush).
CamScanner (full version): easy to use to scan and email paperwork.
Printer apps: I was doing everything on my phone and a wireless printer. No faxes, no wires, no hassle.
Google Drive: I have a TON of information on my desktop at home; copies of all truck paperwork (cab card, registration, insurance, etc.), regulations, permits, manuals, etc. All of it is scanned in full-colour and synced with Google Drive. If I need to access anything, reference anything or have to re-print anything it is super easy and it doesn't take up space on my phone.
There are the obvious apps from service providers like Tim Hortons, Starbucks, McDonald's, etc. (also very handy because they all have free wifi). Corporate Lodging (if you have a card) for getting cheap room rates.
Yelp and Urbanspoon: find out what the locals think of the place you're thinking of eating at before it's too late.
Apps--who needs apps? That's what I thought when I got my first smart phone. Now I think I have about 300-ish downloaded.
