Need help trying to figure out how this guy folds his tarps

    Maverick teaches the rail fold. It makes the 4' tarps a breeze to fold. I never had any complaints about unfolding. The Maverick trainers will tell you that an 8ft drop is almost impossible to rail fold, it's just too much weight, even for a big guy. The physics just dont work. I never tried it with 8ft drops. We didn't have 6ft drops, so it's worth a shot on those.

    The only problem I see with 6ft drops is that the the center will be 4ft when you have it swinging from the rail while the drops will be hanging 6 ft down, not sure if you'll find a way to get past that. If you had grommets at 5ft each side of center would be best, the fold would be a little wider is all.

    Yes, I used to do it with my 8' drops. However, rather than hooking the bungee to the top D-rings, I moved down a row. This left the bottom of the "M" shape about 2' higher than the outside edges of the tarp, but it's much more manageable than a 4' difference.
