I have a new truck and I need some help with the radio. I have an antenna on top of the mirror but it leads to nowhere, I'm thinking the previous owner cut the antenna cable inside the truck cause I can't find it. I do however have this sign under the am fm radio, can you tell me what this mean??

It means that your CB antenna provides reception for both CB and radio.

How does that work exactly, is this the reason why I can't find the end of the CB antenna inside of the truck??

Should be somewhere unless they cut it.Its a terrible setup but a lot of new trucks have it

So does your AM/FM radio pick up any signals? And if it does, do you see any added on AM/FM antenna on the roof or cowling? What year, make, model of truck?

What it really means is you need to install a antenna and coax for you CB radio if you want it to work half way decent.

The truck is an international 9400i 2006 and yes I see a small antenna on top of the truck.

Yeah you might be right on with that because I'm close to giving up on finding the end of the antenna that's t on the truck.

Sounds like someone added a seperate AM/FM antenna. As @mike5511 said, run some good quality coax to a new antenna if you want to have halfway decent performance.

Yeah that's about the best I can do at this point because I'm tired of looking for it. I'll just install one on the other side. Thanks.
