Not ignored, postponed. There were other questions that at the time that were more related to the information I was asking for over a question that everyone reading already knows the answer to. I screwed up, I know that.

So now I'm asking what companies will take me so that I can put in my time. I know I have a less than ideal situation, and I know that I will probably wind up with a less than ideal company.

As long as you don't have reckless driving, DUI, DWI, etc.. Speeding tickets are no biggie, a lot of people have had them. Just be upfront about any offenses. Better to be honest about it than for them to find out you not only got a speeding ticket, but also lied about it ("what else is he lying about"). Not only that but you will be wasting your time and their time for a deal breaker like that to come up on the very last day. Once you file tax paperwork, that company goes on to your employment history, and other companies will want to ask them why you were terminated before you even got on the truck.

Apply for any one of the companies that hire inexperienced CDL holders. You are not a truck driver yet, just a CDL holder. Student driver maybe. Werner, CR England, CRST, Covenant, Swift, KKW, etc. Ask the recruiter if they will hire you with your offenses. Be specific as to what the charges were. I had a ticket for doing 82 in a 65, the cop wrote me a ticket for 1-10 over the limit, the ticket was dropped to a non-moving violation (parking ticket) When I look it up on the government website, it doesn't say speeding, it says non moving violation, nothing else. Trucking companies don't want to know about parking tickets, so I don't mention it and it's never given me any problems. So do your research, find out what the ticket looks like online. If it says you were doing 5 over when you know you were doing 50, tell them you got a ticket for going 5 over.

Since you're in Cali call up to the DMV in SAC and have you're MVR purged that should clear up the one from 2012 and any thing 3 years or older from you're MVR

Trucking school recruiters are looking for students who can acquire a CDL license.. getting a CDL with lots of violations and even criminal histories is "not an issue". Trucking schools = You pay them.

Trucking company recruiters are looking for drivers with CDL who meet a lot of different criteria usually including clear driving records and a proven number of training hours and topics covered.. Trucking Company = They pay you.

Drop the coin for a TWIC card.
Small feather in your hat but it shows the government trust you ;-)
