I put in my app over a week ago, didn't here back so i called and my recruiter said they were working on it as we speak, well that was over a week ago.I then asked her if she wanted me to call back in a few days and she said no, she will contact me. haven't heard from her since, Is this normal? I have a perfect driving record and a class A, no arrest record, and have been at my last job for over 15 years but not as a driver. got my cdl back in 2001 but never did anything with it. Just want to know if this is how long it usually takes.

HalpinUout, Puppage and tim71 Thank this. -
You would probably already be in class if you went with Wil-Trans. They haul for Prime with Prime trailers.
tim71 Thanks this. -
What they are not telling you is the managers have been off for the holidays. Most are just getting to checking their inboxes for potential hires. This is also a slow period in trucking, after the first of the year everything slows down. Many of these companies run ads all year long even though they have no openings. Also, there are a lot of truckers out of work this time of year, no telling how far down the list you might be. I would suggest you keep check with them, if you do not hear from them this week, but apply at other jobs, do not wait for a trucking company. Good luck.darthanubis, americanmadetrucker, NavigatorWife and 1 other person Thank this.

As was mentioned before I think they may be playing catch up after the Christmas and New Years break with the applications.
If you live in PA and go company I think they make you become a North East driver and you get paid extra for that as you do not get as many miles up that way.darthanubis and PChase Thank this.
