From what i read, as a local barn driver, i.e. 100 air mile rule, you fall to state laws not feds for worker right issues. In mn and i think like 6 other states they are required to provide a lunch. Depending on the state the length, how many hours to get said break, and if its paid will vary

I agree, even if you find a labor law, I'd be willing to bet we are exempt from that law.

RRC is a way for trucking companies to dodge State and Federal laws, so even if State mandates it, I bet local companies in those States fall under RRC exemptions.

Wouldnt suprise me, i get mine, wouldnt work for someone who tried by either telling me or loading me so hevey that i couldnt stop. F' em. You dont get to tell me that sitting at stoplight, or waiting for a lull is a break. Running local is stressfull, even the easy days arnt sleepwalking. I wanna stop for ten or 20 then im gonna. Overtime is there problem. Dont like it? Dont give me so much work. :)
