But if the police officer physical wrote family member a ticket and family member skipped court they do NOT notify the owner. Because it is on the driver OPERATING the vehicle. Now the above example would make sense with a red light camera or similar. The township also stated the would NEVER send an employer anything in regards to ANY traffic tickets regardless of the offense.
Careless driving ticket weird?

apparently the owner of the vehicle was notified regardless.

Actually the owner of the company needs to call the court and get it straight. It may get re-written in your name, but until then the only people the court will talk to is decision making level people (Owner) of the company.
You might get very lucky and get a clerk to talk to you, but if he/she does she is breaking the law so it's unlikely.
Yes it sucks for the owner to have to deal with this, but innocent people have to deal with courts all the time.

No they can't.
However it isn't your problem. It is the companies which their lawyer will get it tossed.
I am betting that they got a violation notice in the mail and ignored it. So it isn't YOUR problem, it is theirs.
I wonder how in the hell can you be doing 50 in a 30 with 10 yards left before the sign, that has to be one fast truck - maybe one of them Porsche trucks? -

That is a ticket for careless and endangerment! In my state that is a huge ticket and 6 or more points.
I would sure be at the court getting that taken care of....You need to handle it and NOT the company.
Why have the company have to deal with it? You were the one pulled over.
I know it is not in your name but if I was the boss I would be pissed my company got a ticket because of a driver. -
Doesn't matter.
The citation is the responsibility of whomever's name is on it.
Granted, this company can still take administrative action against this driver, but legally it is a company representative that must appear in court on their behalf.bottomdumpin Thanks this. -
And it's ok to use a telescope while driving.
But Officer, I saw the sign up the road that says 70mph. -
Nope not how it works, once you pass the sign is when it legaljammer910Z Thanks this.

Seeing how an overwhelming majority of companies are shady, I'm going to guess they are trying to get you to pay an older ticket they never paid.
bottomdumpin Thanks this.
