It's openly advertised that 1st year Walmart drivers earn up to 82K a year - no secret. Since insurance is different by state, its handled at the local DC's during the orientation process. Also, there are different choices when it comes to that. It's not a one size fits all deal. Again, not your average job, not your average company. There's a reason its considered one of it not the best driving jobs in the industry.

Well, it's not a job for everybody - that's why its so hard to get hired here. The fact that you would turn down the job at the phone interview stage kinda says something. Something that guys like you don't and won't understand is that being a Walmart private fleet driver is so much more than just the money and benefits. Its a culture that you have to experience to fully understand. But hey, to each his own.slim6596 Thanks this.

You post here in the Walmart forum offering nothing to the conversation other than your desire to not ever work here. The Private Fleet will be just fine without you, so go back to hauling your reefer.slim6596, WallyWife and noninetofive Thank this.

No I posted that who in there right mind would accept a job without knowing the pay and benefits then it became you couldn't even get hired by Walmart so then I replied I definitely could but choose not to.I really don't have an opinion on Walmart accept that I don't like all there rules so yes I will continue pulling my reefer on paper logs, no cameras,no governor big hp with a 13 speed getting paid by the hour overtime after 40 and I write down the hours I worked and get paid every Friday but I honestly have nothing against Walmart just not for me but I would want to know what the benefits are before I come to orientation for any company which was my point!

Don't tell the regular store employees this, most of them already look like they want to leave the store and step in front of a busblairandgretchen Thanks this.

ok, store employees have what relevancy to drivers? and why bother coming in here, bored? freight slow? perhaps get a life, come off the road from your month long escapade... if you guys are comfortable with where you are, then you wouldn't be in here. Pathetic and anonymous keyboard critics...
TomOfTx and noninetofive Thank this. -
Oh, I thought they were all employed by the same company. Bored? somewhat. Freight slow? so I've heard. Got a life thanks. TTR = Public forum meaning anyone can pop in and make a comment as long as the rules are followed. All my best to you Signed PAKC

yeah...get a life. No duh Sherlock... pathetic that you and others come in and live the sad life. Similar to others going into a Swift forum and talking crap...cuz it's public right? What a sad case...enjoy your lonely computer time on the road of truckin dreams..even more ridiculous is that you have no originality, regurgitate the same nonsense and tag on an existing thread, made better by the fact that your types shop at Wally too... lmao.

Had I have known, asking questions would have caused so much "bs" I never would have asked. I thought that forums were for asking questions? For learning. My husband does know what the average starting pay PER YEAR is, but since I pay the bills, I was just curious about the pay dates & orientation pay from Wal-Mart so I can work out my budget. My husband and I are both excited about this new job opportunity, no matter what any of you say about us.
slim6596, noninetofive and scottlav46 Thank this.
