    Amen....

I haul cars and would continue to haul cars if my body wasn't destroyed (10 years now). I pulled fridges for 6 months and it super sucked. I'm banned from a couple of union docks..lazy ########! Decided I was tired of the breaks every 15 minutes, grabbed a pallet jack and showed them what work looked like...lol. Nothing takes a day to load. In my case, all day time hours too.

I remember working for Coca cola driving a truck. Everyday I would unload that 16 bay truck with that 2 wheel Dolley. Now and days they drive automatic trucks. I think that kind of work has just turned to manual labor and no skill. Car Hauling is a skill. Mostly anybody can come down that ramp with a 2 wheel Dolley.

I have worked at both and there is no comparison. You have some experience and you just need to change car hauling companies. Those 8 car trailers; those aren't "real" car hauling trailers. LOL You need to learn how to load a 10 car stinger. Companies like Hansen & Adkins pay very well for your experience, use day cabs and put you in hotels. Car hauling like the rest of the industry has gone down hill but it still pays better than most kinds of freight. If you have to haul more cars to make the same money you made 20 yrs ago. Walmart pays very well if you want something for practically nothing but there is usually a long waiting list.

Very true. Dumb car haulers are unemployed car haulers. Another thing I like to say, "Anyone can pull a box." (Not very well in the case of most mega carriers.)
