Hi my ECM keeps throwing codes for fan solenoid and my fan runs continuously. The ECM is only sending 9.4 volts to the solenoid and it should be getting 12 to disengage the fan. The truck keeps blowing fan solenoids apparently. We jumped the wires off the ECM and no change. The dealer believes it is the ECM causing the problem.

My tech and l decided to bypass the ECM and wired up a 12v switch on the new fan solenoid.

Still having no luck getting the fan to shut off with the engine running. We feel it may be the fuse we are running. We are wondering what kind of amps we need to get this to work. We have a used a 15 and 30 amp fuse currently and it blew them. Does anyone have any info that can help perhaps?

This may not help but my fan hub was stuck on and it turned out to be the clutch material was welded to the hub. I changed the Assyrian and issue solved.

Thanks for the info. My tech changed out my fan clutch first. My ECM keeps throwing codes for fan solenoid. That's why we are wanting to bypass the ECM.
