Well the east coast ports should also have some seafood going west. I used to do lots of trips from ATL back to LA that were reefer or to Laredo then LA up to Seattle

there is more trucks in NW than freight so forget about 2/mile round trip. maybe 2mi one way and raped going back specialy on reefer
-
Thanks Reefer101 thats what I like to hear. Appreciate the reply. Yeah much less and its not that attractive. Especially if I had a driver.
-
Here lately it's even hard to get 2 a mile all in on the west coast for reefer if your pulling loads from the boards.
-
I am a new company and I consistantly get 2+ per mile even now. Stick to midwest and dont go on crazy long runs.

In trucking there are similarities to some other professions.... "How do you make a small fortune in (fill in the blank)? Start with a large fortune!"
akfisher Thanks this. -
About 700 billion USD, give or take a bit.

Your share of that 700b may vary.
$2/mi - possible depending on what you're doing
10k mi/mo - probably pushing it a bit, and taking that much on makes it harder to keep up a $2/mi average
$4500 fuel - for now that's a high estimate, might be a low estimate in 6 months
$2000 ins+tolls - pretty reasonable depending on where you're going
$2000 to expense acct - if you're lucky enough to avoid having a bad month for half a year, or if you start with 5 digits in the acct, might work.
