NY man gets 30 months in prison for spamming AOL

Yeah, right? I average between 200-400 spam messages each day on my gmail account. Their filters are pretty good at catching this stuff.

 

At least somebody is going after those scumbags. Now, If we could get restitution from telemarketers...........wish full thinking.

Stop visiting all those dirty sites and putting your email address in... You may not get as much spam lol

No really I have 3 email accounts..

Yahoo i have had for about 19 years and it gets around 50-100 a day...

Msn had probably 12 years or more it get maybe 15 a day

Gmail maybe 5-6 years and it get maybe 3-4 a day....

Its all about not sharing your email address to other sites... They almost all sell that info for a fraction of a penny for each address...

 

Yeah... I've had the gmail address since the early beta days.. As it's my primary email address now, I've had to use it for a variety of things, and the spam just gets worse. Thank goodness the filters work very well. Only one or two pop through to my inbox each week.

 

I am glad the anti spam laws are working
I have had the same email for 11 years and still get maybe 50 plus spam emails 100 plus before
But noticed about 6 months ago that it went way down
I was told that three big over sea's spamers were shut down and that they were responsible for up to 70% of spam at the time
