Hey guys I start driving school in august and I was looking for a good cb radio for the near future and came across the Cobra 19 Ultra III...from what I understand it is a pretty much bare-bones cb but good for a rookie...can anyone tell me about this or recommend one? Thanks!

For what you would pay for the 19 you might as well throw in a few more bucks and get a 29

29 is great, but for an amateur too many knobs that you wont understand.

Get a cobra 25, basic, but still sends and receives good.

The Cobra model 19 is the compact CB radio. Arguably the worst CB radio ever made is the Cobra model 18. Unfortunately I am not allowed to post the link to the article. Do a Google search for "Cobra 18 worst" to see what article I am referring to.

The Uniden PC68XL is the equivalent of the Cobra 25. The Uniden PC78XL is equivalent to the Cobra 29. These four radios have all been well received.
