    That's nuts. I live just south of Frederick. At midnight we had about 8 inches on the ground and it going to snow all day today and much heavier. I just saw lightning and the wind is bending the trees.

    This was my QC message to dispatch yesterday morning from the Beckley service plaza. I'm still here, with 18 inches of snow around my truck. I didn't wait for that message from the company, I beat them too it. image.jpeg

    Sounds like a good and safe plan to just sit this one out.

    Well, for the very first time since coming to Abilene, I have hit some serious down time... Sat in Vegas all day yesterday between drop off yesterday morning and waiting to pick up this morning. Then drive 5-6 hours to Scottsdale AZ and babysit the half load that drops there on Monday morning... Then off to Florida.

    Not complaining, since it's taken 6 months before it happened... And I am not in the snow back east either... {whew}

    Anything fun to do in Scottsdale if parked at the Pilot/Flyin J on the south side of town?

    Stay Safe and Warm my friends,
    MD

    QC msg says Richmond is shutting down at 1300... Might be a good idea for those drivers in that area to top off the tanks and to do the same.

    I was going to leave and fight this last 270 miles while it was daylight, then that message came across about Richmond operations shutting down and going home. At that moment I said the hell with it and did the same thing. I'll leave at first light in the morning.
