Just had a oil sample come back with high aluminum only. 60 ppm. Had egr cooler replaced 2 oil changes ago but had no aluminum in samples done for those oil changes approx. 20000 miles per oil change . All other wear levels are good to excellent. This is on a 2009 Volvo with d13 and dpf filter. Anybody got any ideas. Thanx big vette

Aluminum could show piston or bearing wear (internet search). Send another sample and compare.

Sounds like it could be piston skirt.

Your right it is there. 2009 Volvo D13 -
Coolant will have aluminum in it which can transfer aluminum to the oil from the EGR cooler failure. Always go with two oil samples in a row to confirm.
