What are the most dangerous roads / mountain passes in the lower 48

Thinking doing OTR this summer, but kinda scared now. I've only been on small steep hills, one was in TN and some in Wisconsin and Minnestoa ones. That's it. Scary I don't want to be lost forever

 

Driving from Knoxville, tn to north Carolina on interstate 40 through the Gorge

 

White Pass in Washington is beautiful.

Highway 6 through Spanish fork, UT to 70 TO Denver, CO can be a nasty bugger.

 

Been there, Asheville, NC to Knoxville, TN is beautiful.

 

Yes it can. And cold too! I got readings of 12 below going through there.

 

What was it that one night across ND for me -40 at Beach when I stopped for the night. I was so glad I had Straight #1 and my carrier had authorized 50 gallons of Kerosene into the tanks in MT that day. The windchill that night was -80 and even the boys running Straight #1 where having issues. I even had to stuff Cardboard into my grill to get any heat into the motor it was that cold.

 

I was in Oregon a couple of years ago and my fan clutch on my truck went out and was stuck on. So when I was parked idling it was on. It was -8F that night but to it's credit the warm up feature on the Volvo D13 managed to keep the heat going despite the supercooling.

 

Yeah that winter of 2014 was a Son of a gun, Everybody up in the North ,midwest was either gelled up and stranded on the highway somewhere and waiting for days to get help. How about the Atlanta national disaster, I was held up there for 72 hours waiting to deliver at Americold cause their workers couldn't get to work lol
