i have a 2005 freightliner m2 with the mbe 4000 10 speed heavy duty when i buy the truck i did not get a manual i would like to know when i engage and disengage the differential lock do i have to come to a stop i would like to know for sure i haul side dump so i go off road alot .
Differential lock do i have to stop when use.

As long as you aren't spinning wheels or driving at highway speeds you should be fine engaging/disengaging them while moving.

But if you spin out & come to a stop, do NOT engage if a wheel is still spinning. Hold foot on brake to stop wheels then engage it.

that what i thought but not too sure. The center diff lock is the one i use thanks for the help.

Yes I have a center different lock that the only one I use and I have wheels lockers too I think that what there call I upload a picture of the two I have .

No it a tandem tractor

both the power divider/inter axle lock and the wheel locks/ full lockers can be engaged at any speed as long as the tires are rolling n not spinning out.

Some axle (full lockers) will not engage in the high side of the transmission, and, if engaged while in the low side sill disengage automatically when shifting into the high side. At least the 2005 Pete that I drove was like that.
