If you're running OTR, do you generally run the same route?
If so, you probably stop at the same truck-stops, right?
And considering that, do you ever see the same drivers running similar/crossing routes?
And how often do you see them?
Do you get to know the truck-stop employees?
Just wondering. Thanks.

Sorry, I just realized this should probably be in the Truck Stop section. I don't know how to delete it. And instead of posting it there too, I'm just gonna say Sorry.

I don't know alot of drivers out here,I ge yelled at for some of the guys I used to run with now and then, but I don't talk on the radio alot. seems like there are less and less "people" out there that I want to speake with. I know a few t/s employees that I say hi to when I go thru, but thats about it.

I use to work at a truck stop for about 3 years and loved it. I made alot of friends that I still run into. I miss working there but the owner was a jerk so I quit and moved to Oklahoma.

Dang, he must have really been a jerk if you quit and moved out of state...

If you're running OTR, do you generally run the same route? No.
If so, you probably stop at the same truck-stops, right? You remember the good ones on certain routes and generally try to stop at those.
And considering that, do you ever see the same drivers running similar/crossing routes? Yes but very rarely.
And how often do you see them? Not too often.
Do you get to know the truck-stop employees? Not really as schedules are usually different when going back through, for example i might have been to a place at 3 in the morn one time and 2 in the afternoon the next.
Of course this is my experience as an otr driver, others may differ. -
There is one that I stop in almost every day. The waitresses know me by name and know I order the same thing every time I go in there. I also flirt with this one girl a the fuel desk when ever she is there. It's nice to be able to talk with friendly people.

the biggest thing to remember is that the people at the truckstop are with you not against you. most are more than happy to help you find something or whatever else. just treat them nicely and they treat you nice. being nice goes along way inthe truckstops. when i was driving i prefered the smaller mom and pop shops as the food was usually better.
