Can't chain it, it would scratch the paint and no I couldn't winch there due to sliding axle. But they didn't move and that is one of my two dogs in the picture

Your right, however I rarely pull a step deck there's not many of them they have them for a cat contract we have/had and JLG lifts. But i will definitely look into a winch for the stake pocket

Where are you running that? I guess you're permitted for more weight? How much?

@Dye Guardian I mainly run Montana. I can go 14,60,60 but when that heavy on 2 lane roads I need 2 pilots because I have to centerline all bridges at 5 mph. After 49k on the tridems I am in 5 mph conditions so I have to slow to 5 mph for all bridges but don't have to centerline yet. Each combo is different based on axle spacings so you need to carry the assessment for each combo with your truck. But the good thing is we get annual oversized permits and quarterly GVW for 30k over. Adds about 2k per year for the extra weight but because most of our stuff is instate it works better than getting a permit every time. Gross on this load is only 105,600 but because I am over on the axle weights that is where the quarterly GVW permits come in even though I am licensed for 130k that does not cover the overweight axles but the GVW permit does.
