So if you give them you're keys and don't have a spare how do they expect you to stay warm in you're truck. Especially Walmart they take couple hours to unload.

Its definatly one of the better ones. Quick unload even with all the docks pretty much full.

It's just shameful that the problem got this far in the first place. I still bang on the trailer just in case when I pull out.

Best have a bunk heater or a open sunroof for the inevitable campfire. The DC itself was a skating rink. Someone had to come back to get thier keys so they could close thier window.

You've never had to give your keys to the receiver while they re unloading you?it's a safety precaution so you don't take off until the light is green.maybe drivers do that so they decided to make it a policy.how come you didn't have you drop the trk in the dock and you park in the bobtail area till they were done?thought all Wal-Mart's do that.

Why would you not have a spare????
When I pulled a icebox,I never froze for anybody, let alone the "Evil Empire".

That's why you carry a junk key to give them...
I always liked giving them a CAT key. LMAO

    FerrissWheel and BoostedTeg Thank this.

Picking up at a hinz frozen foods location, always back in, they lock the red line, and require your key, dropped into a lock box, and the loaders think it is stupid also, as you stand there with another key in your hands. The rule was created because a driver actually pulled away from the dock, with the red airline still disconnected and locked.

I have surrendered keys at the cheyenne wallmart, north platte, sams/walmart, longmont... all during inclimate weather.

I'm just saying I've seen drivers not carry a spare at other companies I've loaded up.

I left my key at Alcoa because I used the other one. Granted, it is inside, so not that cold.
